For DC servomotor applications where the rotor position must be held without power, MicroMo offers a select line of power-off brakes for FAULHABER coreless DC-Micromotors and ENGEL high power DC motors.
The FSB Series power off brakes from FAULHABER are an excellent solution when the application calls for the FAULHABER gearmotor to hold its position without power. The brakes are based on a simple magnetic friction disk that engages when the counter-electromagnetic field is removed. They are available for motors from 22mm in outer diameter.
