Solid-State Broadband Amplifier: Model 500S1G6

The Model 500S1G6 from AR is a solid-state broadband amplifier that operates over the 0.7 to 6 GHz frequency range, and is designed for applications where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required. The low level of spurious signals and linearity of this device makes the 500S1G6 ideal for use as a driver amplifier in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems, and EMC testing applications.

The 500S1G6 is protected from RF input overdrive through its RF input leveling circuit, which controls the RF input level when it is increased above 0 dBm. This self-contained, air-cooled amplifier will provide a minimum of 500 Watts of RF power when used with a sweep generator. Other features include device protection from over-temperature, a front panel control for setting desired output levels, and a digital display for indicating the operation status and fault conditions. These amplifiers are housed in a contemporary cabinet for benchtop use, but can be removed from the cabinet for immediate equipment rack mounting.
