MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, has announced the Ophir® LBS-300HP-NIR Beam Splitter for high power NIR lasers. The LBS-300HP-NIR is a compact device that can deliver extremely high power density attenuation, up to 15MW/cm2 at 5kW. It reflects less than 0.0001% of the incident NIR beam while transmitting 99.9999%. This enables measurement of beam shape, focal spot, beam waist, and overall power.

MKS Announces Ophir® Large Aperture Laser Power/Energy Sensor For Pulsed Lasers

MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, has announced the Ophir® L2000W-PF-120 Laser Power/Energy Sensor, a water-cooled sensor for measuring large pulsed lasers. The thermal sensor measures powers from 1W to 2000W and energies from 6J to 6000J over the spectral range of 0.3µm to 2.2µm. The L2000W-PF-120 features a large 120mm aperture to accommodate high energy densities and short pulses. A fast, 7 sec response time balances the need to measure fast drifts and instabilities with the ability to handle high energy levels.

MKS Announces Ophir® 16K-W High Power Laser Sensor Featuring Fast Response Time Snd High Damage Threshold

MKS Instruments, Inc., a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, has announced the Ophir® 16K-W High Power Laser Sensor, a compact sensor for measuring very high power lasers. The water-cooled thermal sensor measures powers from 100W to 16kW over the spectral range of 0.8µm to 2µm and 10.6µm. A relatively large, 55mm aperture is insensitive to beam size or angle of divergence. The sensor delivers a fast, 3.5 sec response time. A deflecting cone and annular absorber can withstand high power densities to 10kW/cm2.

A smart, compact USB module, the Juno+ turns a PC or laptop into a full laser power/energy meter. It connects any of the 100+ Ophir smart laser sensors - thermal, pyroelectic, and photodiode - to a PC USB port, including the BeamTrack family of thermal sensors that combines multiple functions into one device: laser power, energy, beam position, and beam size. The Juno+ operates with StarLab software to log power and energy, as well as calculate and display averages, statistics, and histograms.

Designed for high sensitivity imaging, the SP1201 features a QVGA resolution InGaAs camera and the SP1203 features a high-resolution VGA InGaAs camera; both also include BeamGage® Professional beam profiling software. The cameras accurately capture and analyze wavelengths from 900nm - 1700nm.

Part of the Ophir Integrating Spheres series of products, the new spheres can accurately measure light that diverges up to ±85 degrees. Each sphere is delivered as a calibrated unit with a photodiode detector.

A rugged, compact, self-contained system, BeamWatch Integrated measures parameters of the focused beam in real-time, including focus spot size, beam caustic, and absolute power readings. The system can accommodate different types of welding heads and includes a variety of interfaces, such as PROFINET and Ethernet/IP, for integration into production networks and automated manufacturing lines to facilitate direct transfer of measurement data.

MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, has announced at SPIE Photonics West the Ophir® Fast Photo Diodes, high speed, biased PIN photodiode detectors for viewing and measuring pulsed lasers and VCSELs. The detectors use the photovoltaic effect to convert fast optical pulses into electrical signals. They are available in a variety of configurations that cover the spectrum from 190nm to 1700nm. Rise times and fall times are fast, ranging from as low as 25ps. Bias voltage is supplied by internal batteries and/or external power supply, depending on the model.
