Linear Motor Positioners: mSR Series

The mSR (miniature square rail) series is made up of miniature, dual square rail guided, linear positioners designed to provide submicron level precision in two different form factors. These linear motor positioners utilize selectable levels of linear encoder technology configured to match the application need. Within the same form factor, OEMs have the option of either the precision grade mSR; the most accurate standard positioner able to achieve a repeatability of 5.0nm, or a cost competitive version; uses magnetic encoder technology for less precise applications.

These mSR series positioners are ideal for a wide variety of high tech industries. Due to a compact, encompassing design and a total of six different encoder options, the mSR is an ideal positioning solution for applications in life sciences, ranging from imaging systems performing scanning operations to high-throughput processing of micro plates. The positioner is also perfect for electronics manufacturing because of its low profile and precision performance.

mSR Series Features Include:

  • Two form factors (mSR 80 - 80 mm wide x 25 mm tall, and mSR 100 - 100 mm wide x 35 mm tall)
  • Standard strokes ranging from 25 mm to 500 mm
  • Two center driven linear motor technologies (mSR 80 – ironcore, mSR 100 - ironless)
  • Dowel holes for repeatable pinning
