The filter provides ample 17mm effective filtration area with a radial support structure to promote utilization of the entire surface area creating longer filter life. A hydrophobic PTFE membrane is used as the membrane of choice to provide the highest level of chemical compatibility and thermal stability. The clear acrylic housing enables easy visual inspection and is compatible with Ethylene Oxide sterilization. Available in a variety of pore sizes from 0.2µm for bacterial retention to 5.0µm for larger particle removal. Applications include transducer protection, IV applications, laboratory applications such as syringe filters, and various other medical applications.
Filtertek's 17mm filter is offered in two versions. The luer lock version utilizes A.N.S.I. standard luer lock connectors with a threaded locking feature on both the male and female ends. The slip fit version has standard A.N.S.I. luer tapers and a unique port feature allowing connection to larger inside bore tubing.
