DVT has developed the first smart image sensor that has high-resolution imaging (640 x 480 pixels) capabilities, combined with network communications (ethernet and fieldbus) that make it the ideal SmartFactory tool. It delivers control data such as quality control inspection results, coordinate information for motion controllers, statistical process control data, and 2D code verification. With a footprint of 1.6" x 2.2" x 4", the Series 600 packs an embedded Power PC processor. The series 600 uses DVT's patented image acquisition technology to maintain optimum image stability and repeatability.

SmartImage Sensors provide the features of a traditional machine vision system by eliminating the signal-conversion electronics, fixed-frame rates and limited gray-scale quantization. Camera, image-acquisition electronics, and computer are integrated into a single unit to allow dynamic access of the CCD without image float or flutter.
