Filtertek's Adult I.V. filter combines a self-priming design with a lightweight, low profile geometry. The PTFE hydrophobic vent membrane provides a chemical resistant, highly durable air vent, ideal for use in lipid and TPN solution delivery situations. The filter membrane is a polyethersulfone, hydrophilic filter membrane providing high flow rates and throughputs. The membrane contains no surfactants, which can result in unwanted extractables during solution delivery. Materials of construction meet USP Class VI plastics testing, are non-pyrogenic, non-hemolytic, and can be sterilized by either ETO or gamma irradiation sterilization methods. Offered in either 0.2µm or 1.2µm, this filter can be used for a number of applications, some of which include: I.V. therapy, TPN/lipid delivery and air elimination.
