Air Vents and Vented Closures

Hydrophobic Air Vent Caps for sterile air transfer in patient care and particle/bacteria removal in biomedical applications are offered on a custom basis. Filter materials used have a pore size rating of 0.2 µm in air. The medias allow free air passage while blocking flow of aqueous solutions.

Filters range in size from ¼ in. I.D. to 110 mm I.D., and are also available in standard threaded bottle cap format. Typical applications include: air vents or I/V blood administration and transfer set spikes, urinary drainage systems, enteral feeding, biological fluid handling systems, and liquid containers/bottles to allow gases to enter or exit during storage.
