Alternative Transfer Device Boasts Ease Of Use

King Of Prussia, PA - ZLB Behring announced the availability of the Mix2Vial Alternate Transfer Device, a new way to reconstitute products in 20/20 mm vials. The Mix2Vial is a plastic, needle-less device with a built-in filter, no handle to manipulate, and no glass syringes. Designed in answer to requests from patients and their families for a device that is simpler to use than anything else already on the market, the Mix2Vial is user-friendly. Among other things, it features color-coded ends that visually distinguish the sterile water vial from the product vial. For nurses, pharmacists, patients, and others mixing products, the Mix2Vial is an efficient, convenient and easy-to-use alternative to existing transfer devices.

In test groups, patients and parents preferred the new transfer device compared to other currently available reconstitution devices. "Hundreds of consumers have had the opportunity to see the Mix2Vial in action and the response has been that the Mix2Vial is easy to use. This is a clear demonstration of ZLB Behring's commitment to innovation with the goal of bringing greater quality of life to patients who use our products," said Paul Perreault, U.S. Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Operations at ZLB Behring.

For healthcare professionals, ZLB Behring is offering a compact training kit that includes everything needed to learn to use the Mix2Vial and demonstrate it to patients and their families. To reinforce the demonstration, a handy take-home kit is available for patients.
