American Scientific Resources, Inc. (ASR) was started in August 1999 by founder, inventor and past President of Ulster Scientific, Inc. - Mr. Peter F. Lordi, Jr. Mr. Lordi is noted for starting diabetic blood glucose management in the United States in the late 1970s with the introduction of the first finger stick device of its kind. He was featured in Fortune, Forbes and Venture magazines for his ground breaking strides in the American medical community.

His long list of successes includes the design, manufacture and distribution of the V-3 Series of pipettes and pipette tips. The V-3 pipette was featured on the cover of Baxter's liquid handling device catalog and has been selected by the National Institute of Health in Washington, D.C. as their stockroom choice. By starting ASR, Mr. Lordi endeavors to once again bring unique, revolutionary medical devices, not only to the US, but also to the worldwide marketplace.
