LEADER IN THE EXTERNAL POWER CONVERSION INDUSTRY

Ault Incorporated is among the industry leaders in the $2.7 billion worldwide external ac/dc power supply market. This healthy, growing market is expected to reach $4.6 billion in 2005 -- a compounded annual growth rate of 11.4%. The solid growth is indicative of the many advantages available when OEMs turn to external power supplies:

  • Reduces the size of their device - this is a significant benefit in a global marketplace focused on products that are smaller, lighter and ergonomic in design.
  • Provides additional space in the device for added features.
  • Reduces time-to-market for new products - Projects can be running concurrently to complete the power supply and the device.
  • Reduces heat and EMI issues within the device and moves them to outside.

The company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

    FULL PRODUCT BREADTH
All of Ault's products change the voltages supplied by power companies (110 volts in the United States and 220 volts in Europe and Asia) to lower voltages needed to power OEM's products.

  • Power supplies convert AC (alternating current) at a high voltage to a lower DC (direct current) voltage.
  • Transformers convert AC power at a high voltage to a lower AC voltage.
  • Ault's battery charger line supports all types of batteries, including Nickel Cadmium (NiCad), Lead Acid, Nickel Metal Hydride and Lithium Ion.
  • Ault products currently operate in the low power range up to 100 watts although R&D projects are underway to develop power supplies in excess of 100 watts.

MISSION STATEMENT: TO IDENTIFY AND MEET THE POWER CONVERSION CHALLENGES OF OUR CUSTOMERS WORLDWIDE.
