Bio-Vascular Gets CE Mark for Two Surgical Tools

Bio-Vascular Inc. (St. Paul) has received CE mark approval for two of its surgical tools, Flo-Rester and Bio-Vascular Probe. All of the company's eligible products have now achieved the CE mark designation.

The Flo-Rester is a vessel occluder designed to interrupt blood flow in arteries and to hold them open during surgery to facilitate the suturing of the vessels. The Bio-Vascular Probe is a flexible shaft with bulbous tips on either end, used by surgeons to locate blockages in arteries and to ascertain the blood flow characteristics of arteries.

Bio-Vascular develops, manufactures and markets proprietary specialty medical products for use in thoracic, cardiac, neuro, ophthalmic and vascular surgery.
