Blood Pressure Monitor

A&D Medical unveils its model UB-322 blood pressure monitor, called the Health Watch. The device is powered by two AAA, 1.5 V batteries, and offers seven-reading memory, useful for hypertensive patients, or others who need a history of successive measurements.

A digital display shows simultaneous blood pressure and pulse readings in 10 mm character height. Graphic symbols imprinted on the cuff show users how to position the cuff and the arm. The left wrist is used to ensure proper placement of delicate sensors that record radial artery pulsation, and the wrist should be held level with the heart for measurement accuracy.

A memory button, when pressed, sequentially displays the last seven measurements.
