Capillary Tubing Connectors Using Tubing Sleeves Instruction Guide

Tubing-Sleeves
  1. Insert your capillary tubing into the appropriate Tubing Sleeve, ensuring the end of the capillary tubing is flush with the end of the Sleeve. Repeat the process for multi-lumen tubing sleeves.
  2. Insert the sleeved tubing into the fitting, with the sleeved tubing extending 1/4" past the fitting tip.
  3. Place the fitting into the receiving port, ensuring the sleeved tubing assembly bottoms out PRIOR to tightening the fitting. When connecting to a true zero dead volume union IDEX Health & Science recommends a plug be used in the opposite port prior to making the sleeved connection. Finger tighten the fitting.
  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for a union connection.
