CardioDynamics Introduces Portable BioZ System
CardioDynamics International Corporation announced the introduction of its Portable BioZ System at the American Heart Association (AHA) meeting held November 10-12, 1997, in Orlando, Florida.
The Portable BioZ is a noninvasive digital heart monitoring system that uses Thoracic Electrical Bioimpedance (TEB) technology to monitor up to 12 hemodynamic parameters within one minute.
The portable monitoring system received FDA 510(k) marketing clearance on September 16, 1997. Both the original BioZ System and the Portable BioZ System utilize the recently FDA-cleared DISQ (Dynamic Impedance Signal Quantifier) technology, which provides improved measurements of impedance waveforms and automatic electronic calibration, thereby increasing the repeatability and reliability of TEB technology.
Landice International, will introduce the Portable BioZ System at the Anesthesia, Pain, Intensive Care, and Emergency Medicine (APICE) meeting in Italy and the Emergency Medical Meeting in Tokyo, Japan later this month.
