Catheter Innovations Cleared to Market Implantable Ports

Salt Lake City-based Catheter Innovations has received FDA clearance to market its line of Implantable Port products featuring its platform PASV safety valve technology.

The new ports will be available with either single or dual lumen and in pre-attached or attachable catheter versions. The new products will allow the company to enter the largest segment of the long-term vascular access market.

H. Robert Moorehead, president and CEO, stated " With the addition of implantable ports, we now offer a full line of long-term vascular access products and will now look to other areas, such as peripheral IVs or urology, where our platform technology could apply."
