Command Medical Products acquires Micro Med

Command Medical Products Inc. (Ormond Beach, FL) a manufacturer of custom medical devices, has agreed to acquire Micro Med Inc., the contract manufacturing division of Disetronic Medical Systems.

"The Micro Med division fits in perfectly with our current manufacturing offerings," said David Slick, Sr., president of Command Medical Products. "By combining the manufacturing technologies of both companies, we will be able to offer all of our customers expanded production capabilities."

Micro Med (Portsmouth, NH) is a contract manufacturer specializing in the assembly and packaging of Huber needle winged infusion sets and micro-bore extension sets, used for fluid transport and intravenous drug therapy procedures. Micro Med is an ISO 9002 and EN 46002 registered facility, offering manufacturing services for both OEM and private label business.

Command Medical Products is a privately held corporation offering contract manufacturing services for the production of disposable medical devices. Command offers custom extrusion, assembly, RF heat sealing and packaging services from their 56,000-sq-ft facility in Ormond Beach. Command Medical is registered with the FDA, and is ISO 9002, EN4002 and ISO 13488 certified.
