Compact Luminescence Detectors

The LDµ Luminescence Detectors can read UV markings, labels or guides on highly reflective surfaces such as mirrors, bottles, metal, ceramics, or polished wood. The detectors can verify seals and bonds in packaging and medical assemblies, provided presence and position sensing, enhance quality control, and perform part counting and product ID. Rapid 250µs response time makes the detectors useful for high-speed production lines, while a solid state UV light source provides over 100,000 of service.

The detector emits 280nm ultraviolet light that is converted to visible light upon striking a luminescent object or mark. Unites can be configured for operating distances from nine to 30mm, spot diameters from five to seven mm. Selectable features include 20ms delay, PNP/NPN output logic and keyboard lock function.
