Connectivity Solutions for Advanced Medical Equipment
The German connector manufacturer Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. KG offers innovative connectivity solutions to meet the special and very high demands in the design and the development of medical devices and diagnostic equipment. The diverse Rosenberger product range includes high frequency, high voltage, high current, differential, fiber-optic and non-magnetic interface solutions. They can be applied in various medical future technologies, e.g. diagnostic imaging systems such as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), PET-CET (positron emission tomography), CT (computer tomography), ultrasound or endoscopy.
High mating cycle products
Medical applications usually demand a very high number of mating cycles. Rosenberger offers modular connector systems for the most varied configurations – custom-tailored for different magnetic resonance applications. The non-magnetic modular connectors are characterized by an extremely high number of mating cycles (> 50,000), they are equipped with an unlocking sleeve clip, variable high-frequency connector types are available.
Magnetic self-locating connectors
Self-locating magnetic connectors from Rosenberger facilitate a high number of mating cycles – whereby misconnects can be excluded. They are vibration-proof, cleanable and even guarantee a correct connection in the most inaccessible locations. A further benefit is the “learaway function” which prevents damage to the connector by unintended disconnection.
For data transmission in medical diagnostic equipments Rosenberger provides the RoDI® product range - Rosenberger Diagnostic Interface Products – which includes a comprehensive range of connectors and cable assemblies with standard connectors, e.g. USB or modular connectors. PCB and panel connectors as well as customized products and assemblies are also available.
Non-magnetic medical products
Non-magnetic medical products from Rosenberger include coaxial connectors, switches, cable clamps ant the respective cable assemblies as well as customized product solutions, e.g. for magnetic resonance applications. Outstanding product features are the high number of mating cycles, long lifetime, optimal mating reliability and mechanical stability, high electrical strength and ampacity – high quality products for absolute reliability in operation!
To mention here just two examples:
Non-magnetic cable clamps and cable assemblies are designed for RTK 013 and RG 178 cables and can be used for frequencies from DC up to 6 GHz. Non-magnetic multichannel mini-coax products are designed for RG 178, RG 316, 6YC6Y 0.2/0.6-50 cables, 4 and 8 pole connectors as well as horizontal and vertical PCB connectors are available.
New: MicroMag USB cable
Fast - reliable - simple. The new magnetic MicroMag USB 2.0 cable opens up a new field of medical applications: their intelligent magnetic interface automatically finds the connection and can be used for data and power transmission in very small electronic devices on tight spaces.
