Founded in 1978, ConvaTec was based on two products designed to improve the quality of life for a special group of people: those with ostomies. In 1982, ConvaTec utilized its skin care technology to launch a second core business - in the wound care field - by introducing DuoDERM® Hydroactive® Dressing.

Its operating units provide service and support for customers in every country within the European Community, as well as in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and major markets of Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Today, ConvaTec scientists, engineers and clinical investigators remain steadfast in their commitment to excellence - a fact that helped ConvaTec secure ISO 9000 certification and the right to display the CE/Mark for its medical devices sold in Europe.
