Bayside has over 25 years experience in the manufacture and assembly of precision crossed roller bearing components. All linear bearings are produced in a fully automated cell with new production techniques, for extremely accurate products. Bayside offers the broadest range of crossed roller bearing sizes and types to fit any application. Available with travels from 20 to 900mm and sizes from 1-9mm, Bayside can quickly manufacture customized components for special applications including vacuum and clean room environments.
The crossed roller bearing components provide extremely high accuracy and low friction and are an inexpensive alternative to air bearings. The crossed rollers contact the bearing way (rail) only on its diameter, generating a pure rolling action, reducing friction and providing long bearing life.
The bearings feature a hardened and ground solid way construction for high load carrying capabilities (up to 5800 kg), stiffness and rigidity. The criss-crossed configuration of the rollers in the bearing allows easy mounting in any orientation (horizontal, vertical, and horizontal with vertical cross-section mounting).
