Darco International, Inc. is an innovator and manufacturer of orthopedic soft goods with market leadership in medical/surgical foot and ankle products. The company was founded in 1985 by Dr. H. Darrel Darby while a practicing Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Product development and performance, then and now, emphasize functionality, patient comfort and enhanced healing.

Darco products have evolved over the years from medical surgical footwear, to lower leg devices and recently into traditional orthopedic soft goods. Regardless of the product, the highest standards of quality, product integrity and patient outcome must be acheived before the Darco name goes on.

Beyond the manufacture and sale of its products, Darco prides itself on being a good citizen in the market place, the profession and the community. Philanthropy is a part of the Darco credo with significant ongoing contributions to medical education, with emphasis on the improvement of the medical and surgical treatment of lower extremity problems.

The company is also committed to the promotion and education of physicians engaged in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle throughout the world. Darco-sponsored symposiums and workshops have been successfully held in Germany, Austria and China, with plans for similar events in the future.
