Diagnostic Device Wins Design Award

The NC-stat (Nerve Conduction) instrument is used for the rapid detection and assessment of repetitive stress injuries of the hand and wrist, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. The product provides objective and accurate information in a form that is designed for convenient use by hand surgeons, physicians, and physical therapists at the point of care. It assists in the evaluation of upper extremity disorders and monitoring patient progress during therapy.

The NC-stat system manufactured by NeuroMetrix and designed by Product Genesis.
Product Genesis and NeuroMetrix worked together to develop a product design that corresponds to the needs of the user and the patient. The extensive research conducted generated from both customer groups helped the designers develop a product that is non-invasive, aesthetically appealing, affordable, easy to read and operate, and portable. All of these factors make NC-stat one of the most innovative medical diagnostic devices currently on the market.
Now in its 46th year, the I.D Magazine's Review showcases the material and visual culture of design. Each year seven separate categories are reviewed by juries of leading practitioners, who, along with I.D. Magazine's editorial team, focus the abundance of submissions into a clear survey of the state of the art.
