Digital Low Differential Pressure Sensors: LMI Series

Source: First Sensor AG

The LMI series of digital low differential pressure sensors are ideal for medical applications involving ventilators, spirometers, CPAP, sleep diagnostic equipment, nebulizers, oxygen conservers and concentrators, and insufflators/endoscopy.  They offer ultra-low pressure ranges from 25 to 2500 Pa (0.1 to 10 in H2o), and feature thermal flow measurement for increased sensitivity, high immunity to dust contamination, and humidity.

First Sensor’s LMI series of low pressure sensors are based on thermal micro-flow measurement technology. In addition to the benefits of increased sensitivity and resistance to dust and humidity, this technology provides very low flow-through leakage. The series has a total accuracy better than 0.5% FS (typical), an operating temperature range of -40 to +85oC, and packaging only 9 mm in height. These pressure sensors offer low power (400 µA standby current), and continuous (5 ms sampling time) modes of operation. They are well-suited for battery-operated applications.
