Disetronic's Dahedi Insulin Pump Wins FDA Approval
The FDA has approved Disetronic's Dahedi 25 insulin pump for sale following successful conclusion of its 510(k) registration process. Disetronic will thus soon be able to launch the world's smallest insulin pump on the U.S. market and to further expand its position as a leading provider of innovative products for diabetes care. The Dahedi 25 measures about two-thirds of the size of standard insulin pumps and weighs about 20% less. It is already on sale in Germany and the Netherlands.
The Disetronic Group (Minneapolis) is a leading worldwide supplier of infusion and injection systems and packaging systems for administering and packaging liquid medication. Disetronic is one of the world's leading suppliers of insulin pumps for the treatment of diabetes and of injection "pens" for various therapies.
