This FAULHABER miniature drive solution consists of a completely custom designed motor, gear and component combination including the injection molded assembly carriage. It was designed from the ground up using the latest CAD and discrete element analysis technologies.

Industrial Printing Presses
The FAULHABER group customized a complete system including a modified DC motor, potentiometer, cabling and connectors, gears and a pinion, and the injection molded enclosure for the precise control of ink dosing on large scale industrial printing presses.

Medical Pumps
The revolutionary Impella System single-use medical pump replaces conventional heart-lung machines under certain conditions during open heart surgery. The pump is inserted through the veins in the leg and directly into the chambers of the heart. Two FAULHABER Brushless motors with an outer diameter of under 6mm pump up to 4.5 liters of blood per minute. This significantly reduces the stress on the heart during surgery and shortens recovery and rehabilitation times for the patient.

Positioning Stages
6 modified FAULHABER coreless DC-Micromotors with IE2-512 high resolution magnetic encoders provide precise motion control in six axes of freedom for this micro positioning stage for the medical industry.
