DSP Workshop
The MathWorks, Inc. has unveiled a new version of its DSP Workshop. The new version, which is based on the updated MATLAB 5.2 and Simulink 2.2 tools, offers engineers a software solution that closely integrates the digital signal processor (DSP) algorithm development stage of the design process with the DSP software development and testing stages. This software tool provides an integrated DSP design environment that includes an array language for algorithm development and a block diagram simulation environment for simulating, testing, and generating code for use with target DSPs. Enhancements in the latest version include new blocks and functions within the Simulink/DSP Blockset block diagram simulation environment that mirror the algorithmic capabilities of MATLAB and the Signal Processing toolbox. The updated software tool supports Windows 95, Windows NT, Sun, HP, IBM, Silicon Graphics, and DEC Alpha workstations.
