DSM Biomedical’s Extracellular Matrix (ECM) OPTRIX technology is used to create natural and biologically friendly soft tissue scaffolds.
The OPTRIX process gently disinfects tissues, inactivates viruses, and removes antigens while preserving the natural and porous structure of the collagen matrix and leaving behind extracellular matrix components*, such as:
- Elastin
- Fibronectin
- Laminin
- Glycosaminoglycans
- Proteoglycans
- Growth factors
- Cytokines
