Flow Test Method
Flow continuity tests can often be made using the back pressure flow test method. This measures the pressure at the entry to the test part with a pressure transducer. The same transducers used in the product can be used for vacuum testing applications as well.
The PCMCIA card slot on the front panel uses a PC memory card to store additional test programs. Test Programs can be retrieved and transferred between testers. The same slot can also be used for data collection. The PC memory card will store test data and test results for statistical analysis on a notebook computer. The sequential steps in the test cycle are pre-programmed. The only "programming" is to edit the test times and limits. Menus on the touch screen prompt entry. The large display allows viewing of the pressure plot graphically during the test cycle. Separate graphical level indicators display rate of leak. This allows insight in troubleshooting a setup.
The tester is available with mass flow transducers for applications where that method is more suitable. A gage pressure transducer is also used to monitor the test pressures. Usonpany%>, 5215 Hollister, Houston, TX 77040. Phone: 713-460-1700; Fax: 713-939-1531.
