GE to Acquire Prucka Engineering

GE Marquette Medical (Milwaukee) has signed an agreement to acquire Prucka Engineering, Inc. (Houston, TX), a company specializing in electrophysiology.

"GE's global distribution and service networks will allow our organization to meet today's global demand for an integrated electrophysiology and hemodynamic monitoring solution, said Sheri Prucka, president and founding partner of Prucka Engineering.

Electrophysiology helps physicians study atrial fibrilation, and ventricular tachycardia. The company's main product is the CardioLab System.

GE Marquette Medical manufactures medical diagnostic equipment.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
