Gentle, Re-attachable Tape

New adhesive formulation is designed to provide a very soft and gentle adhesion and permits reattachment of a medical device. It is truly skin friendly and while not breathable, is extremely gentle. The adhesive can be provided as a transfer tape, or coated onto a non-woven or foam facestock. The ideal combination is with a non-woven material due to its soft nature. Potential applications could include ostomy, reattachable covers to microbiology plates, or bandages that need to be repositioned or reattached to skin. In addition, this new adhesive is also recommended for electromedical devices which require the electrode to be taken off and put back on, or on a probe cover for a neonate that requires a gentle adhesive. Fragile geriatric skin types would also benefit from medical devices with a soft gentle adhesive.
