Hot Plate Welding Equipment

Hot plate welding is beneficial to manufacturers seeking to join thermoplastic parts where both high-strength and hermetic seals are required, or where parts have complex geometries, such as irregular shape, or curved or internal walls. Several models of hot plate welders are available to accommodate parts up to 72" x 24" in size.

This process is often employed to assemble batteries, fluid reservoirs, lighters, or other challenging plastics joining applications where cost-effective methods and strong seals are crucial.

Branson's model HH-15 hot plate welder (at right) combines versatility in a small footprint. The distinctive feature of this welder is its horizontal platen, which enables it to process parts that are not adaptable to standard vertical hot plate welders.

Features of the HH-15 hot plate welder include an interlocked door with full guarding, which provides operator safety; an automatic cycle start for increased production rates; a single zone temperature controller for precise temperature control, and an optional auto part pickup system to facilitate part loading.
