With more than 25 years of experience as a prototyper, IMPM has a thorough understanding of all aspects of rapid part production...from assisting customers with basic project and concept evaluation to building patterns, forming multiple prototypes and molding short-run end-parts. Specific Strengths include:
- Stereolithography -IMPM has the capabilities to build models using an SLA 250-50 or SLA 500 and can receive your STL files rapidly and efficiently through our FTP site at: FTP://FTP.INDUSTRIALMODERN.COM. IMPM can also convert your files, cad, and dxf to STL.
- Silicone moldmaking - IMPM has perfected techniques for optimizing the performance of silicone rubber molds to extend mold life, increase part accuracy and enhance surface finish.
- Polyurethane and epoxy casting - IMPM has been working with epoxy casting systems for years and was one of the first to use Parts-In-Minutes® polyurethanes to prototype electronic parts for Motorola. Today, IMPM uses Parts-In-Minutes® materials to produce functional prototypes for a broad range of industries.
- Thin-walled RIM molding - IMPM pioneered the development of the automated meter/mix dispensing equipment widely used for producing rapid prototypes from materials like Parts-In-Minutes® polyurethanes. The TWR-1000 injection system manufactured by IMPM for thin-walled RIM molding features advanced capabilities including: variable speeds for precise control of mix ratios, shot sizes and material flow rates; vaccum holding tanks that ensure air-free material delivery; and static or dynamic mixing.
