InPart Adds Colder Products Company To Growing DesignSuite Manufacturer List

SARATOGA, CALIF. (March 5) BUSINESS WIRE -March 5, 1999--InPart, a division of Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:PMTC) and the leading provider of 3D content and tools for the mechanical engineering industry, announced today that Colder Products Company, the manufacturer of a range of quick disconnect solutions for low-pressure fluid management problems, purchased licenses of DesignSuite and FlashModeler to offer new value-added services to its customers.

With more than 20 basic product lines, nearly 900 catalog items and thousands of product options, Colder Products Company (CPC) markets the world's broadest range of quick disconnect solutions for low-pressure fluid management problems. CPC products solve fluid handling problems in many industries around the world. CPC serves industries such as water handling and conditioning, analytical, scientific and medical instrumentation, medical, inkjet printing, process controls, high-precision manufacturing equipment, food and beverage handling, pneumatic control systems and chemical packaging and handling.

The company plans to enhance its engineering services by providing its users access to the most current, manufacturer-quality, certified, 3D solid models of its components contained in the DesignSuite library of nearly 325,000 standard components and 9 million pieces of associated technical data. FlashModeler enables authorized users to access component models free of charge through CPC's web site at www.colder.com.

Bob Orthey, Colder's director of marketing, said, "We recognize the value in providing our customers with fast and easy access to standard parts. Traditionally, they spent a lot of downtime and effort searching and retrieving required drawings and solid models from a myriad of sources, many of which were outdated. Today, using DesignSuite and FlashModeler as electronic solutions for gaining the same information and more, they are much more efficient."

InPart launched DesignSuite one year ago. Today, the vast electronic 3D parts library contains nearly 325,000 of the most current, quality-certified solid models provided by manufacturers such as Adept Technology, Aeroquip Corporation, Amphenol Aerospace Corporation, Bimba Manufacturing Company, Boston Gear, Colder Products Company, Cutler Hammer, Dayco, Del Tron Precision, DE-STA-CO Industries, Enerpac, Enertrols, Gates Rubber Company, GE Fanuc Automation, Hamilton Casters & Mfg Co., Jergens, Kollmorgen Motion Technologies Group, Lincoln Electric Company, Molex, Numatics, Panduit Corporation, Parker Hannifin Corporation (five divisions), RWM Casters, Schroeder Industries, Smalley Steel Ring, Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrumentation, Swagelok, Thompson Industries, Torrington Company, U.S. Electrical Motors, and Warner Electric.
