Intertek Testing's Medical Technology Expert Presented at AAMI 99

Don Sherratt, medical stream director for Intertek Testing Services (ITS; Boxborough, MA) was a featured speaker at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) 99 Annual Meeting & Expo, held last month in Boston.

Sherratt's presentation, "The Changing Face of Compliance: Product Design Can Make or Break Your Market Entry Game Plan," focused on reducing time-to-market cycles for medical device manufacturers targeting the European Union for product entry. Sherratt was featured among a group of experts presenting to over 2400 health care technology professionals on the latest in medical technology management, development, use, maintenance and regulation issues.

ITS provides testing and certification services to standards around the world. Services include product safety testing and certification, EMC/RFI testing, biocompatibility testing, package integrity and leak testing, performance testing, and quality systems management registration.
