K&K Tool and Die has been in business since 1970. Originated as a support division to its parent company K&K Stamping, K&K Tool and Die has expanded its Master Compound Die business to companies across the United States and Canada. The Master Compound Die is a precision steel or aluminum die shoe set with a knockout system, adjustable guides, and is key aligned for irregular shapes. The die is complete and will accept a variety of inserts up to the die capacity. K&K Tool and Die has been supplying Insert Compound Tooling to satisfy a wide range of customer needs. These needs can range from blanking 0.001" thick brazing alloys & shim stock, to gasket type materials, to .125 carbon steels. Today, with its CAD and machining capabilities, K & K Tool and Die has the expertise required to design and build intricate Class A compound dies with interchangeable insert tooling, precision progressive dies, terminal dies, Fourslide and Multislide tooling.

K & K Stamping Company was founded in 1969, as a Corporation by Joseph J. Koch, President and Richard N. Koch, Vice-President. Both men have extensive backgrounds in stampings, beginning their careers in the Tool and Die industry. The corporation now serves over 900 customers who are largely automotive related, although many are in the aerospace, agricultural, and electronics industries. Facilities include Tool & Die, Stamping, and KonneKtech.

KonneKtech manufactures and assembles the RADSOK® electrical connectors and mating pins. The very basis of this reliable contact lies in the unique grid developed by the K & K Stamping group. Since its development and introduction into the market, the RADSOK® connector has met or exceeded testing for vibration shock and maintained electrical integrity with low millivolt drop and low heat rise. Many new applications are being developed in a variety of industries to incorporate the RADSOK® terminal into new product designs. Visit the RADSOK® website at www.radsok.com.

Thirty presses ranging from 5-ton high-speed presses to 160-ton presses are housed in the Stamping plant. A special department has been set up with six Fourslide machines for producing large volume fasteners and clips. In 1995, a custom CNC multi-slide machine was added to produce windshield wiper arms and other similar parts. Although K & K specializes in precision lightweight stampings with tight tolerances to within +/- .001", there have been many production runs of parts up to 3.2mm in thickness.

Corporate expansion has moved K & K into several new product markets such as windshield wiper "bows". It is anticipated that steady growth will continue based on the ability to provide quality parts shipped on time, at competitive pricing while maintaining an adequate margin for a successful business operation.

K & K Stamping and its divisions, including K&K Tool and Die, have been certified and registered as being in compliance with ISO 9001 and QS 9000 operating standards. The Quality Assurance department includes facilities for inspection during production runs and also through all stages of assembly and outside processing. Management remains committed to continuous improvement of all operations within the plants and in all elements of the company.
