In 1999, Kuntz Mfg. Co., Inc. celebrated its 30th year in business. The company has come a long way since the early days when founder Dieter Kuntz started the business out of his garage. The first product was a uniquely engineered, steerable ski-sled that was sold to the military and sporting good stores. This catapulted him into his true love: mechanisms and machinery.

In 1970, Kuntz moved into an 800 square foot rental unit where the manufacture of small test equipment, fixtures and tooling began. Three years later, Kuntz expanded by moving into a 3,000 square foot unit in Santa Ana, pioneering state-of-the-art, fully automatic machines.

In 1976, Kuntz Mfg. Co., Inc. was incorporated and relocated once again in 1979 to a larger 8,000 square foot building. This building is still owned by Kuntz. Business boomed and more talent joined our team. By 1996 we had far outgrown that facility, and the current location on S. Rousselle Street in Santa Ana was purchased. The 25,000 square foot building was remodeled extensively and became corporate headquarters in August 1997.

Kuntz Mfg. Co., Inc. is the oldest machine builder in all of the Western United States and with two facilities and a team of highly qualified employees, Kuntz is well equipped to provide specialized automated systems for many years to come. Customer satisfaction is the primary foundation of our success, and the integrity of our products remains Kuntz' ultimate goal.
