Laser Machining System

Packard BioChip Technologiesonics LightWriter SPe laser machining system combines simplified programming with advanced laser power and self-teaching calibration to provide a laser marking system on a variety of parts, including metals, plastics and ceramics.

The SPe operates like a simple printer, and can mark Adobe Type I scalable fonts directly. It can serialize, mark bar and 2D matrix codes, and can also take advantage of off-the-shelf software for creating or importing graphics and fonts from scanned images and DXF input. Advanced closed-loop optical feedback laser power control is incorporated into the LightWriter SPe. Using a fiber optic to sample laser power, electronics automatically apply consistent power to the work piece. The LightWriter SPe can also change power to different programmed levels to mark multiple materials in one operation, or to mark with varying depth or contract on a single material.
