Laser Welded Assemblies
The Laser Welded Assemblies feature distortion-free, cutting, drilling, and welding provided by NdYAG or CO2 lasers, depending upon the material and part configuration, with 6 sigma repeatability. Unlike TIG welded assemblies, these are cleaner, have minimal distortion, no fillers or heat affected zones, and require no mechanical secondary operations.
Custom engineered and fabricated, the assemblies can be made from materials such as stainless steels, titanium, and nickel-base alloys, in sizes up to 40 in. dia. Lasers include 5-axis systems capable of welding, cutting, and drilling metallic materials up to .300 in., hole diameters as small as .005 inc., and weld depths up to .030 in., depending upon thickness.
