LDE/LME Series – Superior Immunity To Dust
Source: First Sensor AG
When dust is found in the air flow, sensors with a flow impedance of 15 Pa/(ml/s) to 300 Pa/ (ml/s) fall out of calibration or fail entirely, and sensors having flow impedance >10 kPa/(ml/s) keep their calibrated sensitivity. On the other hand, the LDE/LME Δp sensors from First Sensor require only very tiny flows through their body, providing high immunity to dust-bearing air. This application note experimentally compares LDE/LME differential pressure (Δp) sensors from First Sensor with other sensors that use the same (thermal-anemometer-based, non-membrane) sensing principle.
