The Z-Series linear actuators do not have a mounting flange, resulting in a slim-profile motor. Positive mounting of the "earless" motor is accomplished through various means, inlcuding clamps, threaded front sleeves or snap-in mounting. The actuators can lift up to 60 oz and are available with linear step increments of 0.001-, 0.002-, and 0.004-in. travel per step. The slim profile of the motors makes them suited for use in hand-held equipment or anywhere where space is limited. Typical applications include medical equipment, research instrumentation, printing equipment, or semiconductor equipment.
