Filtrona Richmond, Inc. (Filtrona) is a manufacturer of bonded fiber structures used as functional components of consumer and industrial products. Filtrona bonded fiber components are used as filters, liquid reservoirs, liquid wicks and other capillary transfer components to absorb, retain, transfer or release liquids in a controlled manner. Filtrona is recognized as a leading innovator in continuous bonding of fibers. The company can provide components in almost any geometric cross sectional profile.

Filtrona specializes in the custom manufacture of high unit volume components such as ink reservoirs for roller ball pens, coloring pens, markers and highlighters; wicking, filtration and absorptive components for medical devices; absorptive media and ink transfer wicks used in ink jet printers, ink jet cartridges and other imprinting machines; and a variety of other applications such as air freshener wicks, butane lighter wicks, fragrance reservoirs and specialty filtration applications.

The company sells its products to international markets. Please note that prior to its acquisition in 1997, the company operated as American Filtrona Company within North America and as AFC Worldwide internationally.
