The company's V55-GKM Low Pressure Plasma System is now available with a rotary drum feature for high volume treatment of bulk medical parts.

The V55-GKM was designed for ultra-pure cleaning of metals, glass, ceramics and optics; as well as for polymer surface modification and thin film polymerization. Microprocessor control provides consistent processing run-after-run by utilizing stored recipes and automatic process monitoring.

Rotation of the drum within the process chamber assures uniform treatment of thousands of parts. The drum device is easily removed, allowing the 16 in. x 14 in. x 18 in. chamber to be used for processing larger parts. Plasma generation via microwave excitation permits the entire chamber to be utilized since there are no internal electrodes or feedthroughs required. Another advantage to microwave-generated plasma is lower processing temperature, resulting in the ability to treat even very heat-sensitive parts.

In addition to microwave and dual-frequency machines ranging from table-top to fully automated high volume systems, ‘the company offers in house contract processing, detailed surface analysis and process R&D.
