Magnet Wire Stripper

The RT2 is a fybrglass wheel stripper that will remove film insulations from fine gauge magnet wire from 28-45 AWG. It is a compact, bench-operated unit and is easily adjusted for different wire sizes. The wires and coils are used in the manufacture of medical devices such as hearing aids, pacemakers and other small electronic devices. The stripper uses two high-speed, rotating, cone-shaped fybrglass wheels to create frictional heat, which melts the insulation on fine wires. The nap of the wheels then wipes the insulation away, leaving the wires clean and undamaged, ready for soldering. There are different grades of fiberglass wheels to accommodate different insulation types.
