Quick, strong, clear bonds make Permabond 4C50 cyanoacrylate suitable for high-speed production of medical devices. This specialty adhesive can be used for bonding, sealing and fixturing parts and substrates commonly used in the industry. It is an alkoxyalkyl cyanoacrylate which does not stress plastic parts the way ethyl cyanoacrylates can. When cured, the adhesive passes cytotoxicity tests.
Within 5 to 20 seconds, it will bond a variety of substrates, including steel, brass, plaster, stone, aluminum, ABS, phenolic, polyesters, SBR, PVC and many other plastics. The single-component adhesive polymerizes rapidly when pressed into a thin film between parts. At 77°F, the colorless, transparent liquid has a viscosity of 100 centipoise.
