Medical Grade Series Printers

The company offers a line of medical grade printers, the UP-51MD series, which incorporates new Hi-Eye-Q Quality Imaging System. The printers provide easy color set-up and print speeds of just 20 seconds with excellent print quality and a designed-in synchronization between the company's printer and media products.

The company's print media products can now be carefully matched to printer specifications to accurately monitor paper-to-ribbon print counts, make constant adjustments to ribbon tension and provide consistent, reliable image reproduction from first print to last.

To enhance printer durability, the company has designed a state-of-the-art SiO2-coated thermal print head capable of doubling the head life of previous A5 printers. A new color set-up utility allows the user to capture an image and select from nine different thumbnails of the image, each with slightly different color characteristics. This enables perfect color adjustment selections quickly and easily.

The unique Hi-Eye-Q intelligence system allows for optimum compatibility between media and hardware products. New printer features combined with high-quality image reproduction make the UP-51MD printers optimal for surgical endoscopy, ultrasound, microscopy and other medical and scientific applications.

The new printers are lighter and smaller (4.9 in. x 14.5 in. x 18.7 in.) than their predecessors and incorporate a new space-saving design to fit into virtually every medical environment. The UP-51MD features 8 MB of memory, accepts NTSC and PAL video signals, and includes a universal power supply for 100-120V AC plus 220-240V AC power connections. The lower priced UP-51MDU includes a 4MB-memory capacity. The printer accepts NTSC video signals and is compatible with 100-120V AC power systems.
