Flexan uses medical grade silicone for implantable and disposable medical devices that require high performance and safety characteristics whenever in contact with a human body. With no side effects and the ability to be sterilized, this material meets or exceeds all USP Class VI test requirements. It will also retain its shape under pressure and temperature extremes.
Flexan is ready to work with each client in order to select the optimal grade of silicone for their specified applications.
Silicone Materials and Additives:
- Liquid silicone rubber (LSR)
- High consistency silicone rubber (HCR or gum stock)
- Transparent silicone, fabricated for high-refractive index and optically clear applications
- Pigmented silicone, including custom Pantone colors and radio-opaque tracers
- Silicone infused with desiccants using Flexan’s proprietary process
- Antimicrobial agents
