Medical Tubing Supplier Natvar Announces Strategic Alliances

N/Aany%>, a specialty extrusion manufacturer located in Clayton, NC, has agreed to strategic alliances with Rubicon Medical and Valnet Medical.

Rubicon Medical (Salt Lake City, UT) is an extrusion company whose market focus is on specialty medical tubing and catheters. This technology share agreement gives Rubicon a presence in the bulk medical PVC market. Natvar will capitalize on the capabilities of Rubicon to produce small-bore, close-tolerance extrusions used by medical device OEMs in the production of minimally invasive surgical instruments. Rubicon also has the capability to produce extruded products from hybrid and exotic polymer compounds.

In addition, Natvar has agreed to joint venture with Valnet Medical Corp. (Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico). Natvar plans to have an extrusion production line fully operational at Valnet's facility by year end. Valnet Medical operates a 25,000 square foot facility designed primarily for secondary medical device assembly. Most of these assemblies require medical-grade tubing which is currently produced by a variety of suppliers in the continental United States.

Natvar also has a manufacturing facility in Lakewood, CO, and warehouse locations in New England, Southern California, and Mexico.
