Medtronic to Buy Midas Rex

Medtronic Inc. has agreed to acquire privately held Midas Rex LP (Fort Worth, TX) for an undisclosed sum. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Medtronic will buy all assets and some liabilities of the maker of high-speed neurological powered instruments, which is expected to post 1998 revenues of about $55 million.
