Micro-Infusion Filter

Filtertek's micro-infusion filter is designed to vent air within IV lines and prevent bacterial contamination from reaching the patient. Solution filtration ranging in bacterial retention (0.22 micron) to larger particulate (1.2 micron) removal. The solution and drug resistant vent ensures continuous fluid flow by venting air within the housing upstream of the filters media and preventing air blockage. In addition, use of a select polyethersulfone membrane material produces considerably higher flow rates than other like materials. The clear acrylic housing allows easy visual examination of solution in process with a low hold up volume of <.35ml to ensure maximum solution use, minimal waste. Universal tubing ports are compatible with I.D. and O.D. tubing and standard solvent bonds. Available in either cellulose acetate or polyethersulfone membrane and 0.2 or 1.2 pore sizes for various applications including critical care neonate, pediatrics, chemotherapy, insulin infusion and antibiotic therapy.
